This was a very special day. It was Yumi's first day home. August 22, 2007

Here's Yumi at one month old on my birthday. That was the best birthday present ever!
Trick or treat?! Smell my feet. Give me something good to eat! Here's Yumi with her cousin Elijah and her Auntie Erin. For those of you who can not tell what the costumes are (Uncle John), Elijah is a lion and Yumi is a giraffe.
A bunch of pics of Yumi at 3 months old. (November 2007)

It's Elijah's (Yumi's cousin's) first birthday. There was a family birthday party at the house on November 18th, 2007. Can you even remember when Elijah was that small? He's grown quite a bit now and has become quite the little man!

Christmas dinner was at Helen's place. My family were all there as well as Helen's godmother and grandson, Kelvin. It was very festive and we ate like kings. Yumi was 4 months old at the time.

Of course Christmas would just not be the same without going to Lorna & Neil's annual Christmas CRAP Exchange. You walk into their house bearing wonderful gifts but God only knows what you'll leave with. It's such a blast chanting "Crap crap crap crap" and praying that everyone will pick all the crap gifts! Ah the gift of giving. Ho ho ho! Ooops did I mention it's also great to see everyone there at the party as well?! It's the only time to catch up with friends and family all at once.
Who was the king/queen of crap for 2007?

Grandma is putting on a festive Japanese kimono for Yumi. Yumi wasn't too squirmy so Grandma didn't have a rough time getting the outfit on. Auntie Misako and cousin Yoshiko sent this over from Hokkaido, Japan.
Gung Hei Fat Choi! It's chinese new year and the family is celebrating at Auntie Helen's place. Lots and lots of good food to eat! Auntie Helen bought Elijah and Yumi a chinese outfit to wear for the occaision.
Happy Birthday Ed! The family had dinner at Milestones and then headed back to Auntie Helen's place for cake. Poor Yumi looks so excited sitting in front of that big yummy cake. Little does she know that she's not getting any of it!

It's a boy! Congratulations to Michelle & Jason on the birth of their first baby. Nathan was born on March 20, 2008.
On May 11, 2008, Grandma, Grandpa and the 3 of us did our first walk-a-thon at Central park for a japanese non-profit organization called, Tonarigumi. Afterwards, bento boxes were handed out and we were entertained by the Chibi Taiko (Japanese Children's Drum Group).
